The Tech-industry awards may not be as glamorous as the Cannes Festival taking place now, but they sure put a big smile on our faces, especially that we can proudly say we are winning!<\/span><\/p>\n

This is why we are so excited to share with you that we have been named as the \u2018Fintech Startup of the Year UAE 2019\u2019 by <\/span>International Business Magazine<\/b>.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

These awards are also a good summary of what is happening in this rapidly changing industry. Take for example Fintech companies. You might not know what Fintech means. It\u2019s a term \u2013 a mashup of Financial + technology – used to describe new tech that seeks to improve and automate the use of financial services. In general these companies are the brainchild of people who decided to change the status quo and saw an opportunity to improve on the traditional ways of delivering these services.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s talk about Sarwa.<\/a> We took one look at the landscape here and thought: hey! There is a better way to do this. Sarwa was born to bring a better service to the industry, and change the perception that investing is a luxury by making it easy, simple and affordable. The whole process is done online, within a few minutes, using facial recognition and smart technology, without having to leave the couch. And it only takes $500 to start investing!<\/span><\/p>\n

Fintech is a competitive space, specially here in the region where there are so many opportunities for improvement. This is why we are so proud to receive this award.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is another cherry on the cake that the team has been working so hard on the launch of the platform in February 2018. It follows other big announcements we had earlier this year, one of which is Sarwa being named as one of the Top Arab Startups shaping the fourth industrial revolution,<\/a> by <\/span>the World Economic Forum<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
